ASSISTANT LECTURER/LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER AT SEKOMU

Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University (SEKOMU) which is located in Lushoto District, Tanga Region is an institution owned by the North-Eastern Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (NED-ELCT).

Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University is looking for motivated, qualified and highly experienced Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies.
A.ASSISTANT LECTURER/LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER- (8 POSTS) 

• PHYSICS (1POST)
• BIOLOGY (1POST)
• CHEMISTRY (1POST)
• MATHEMATICS (1POST)
• KISWAHILI (FASIHI) (1 POST)
• LITERATURE (1POST)
• LINGUISTICS (1POST)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To carry out research and publications in their areas of specializations;
• To conduct teaching and learning activities in their respective levels/ranks of academics,
• To conduct seminars, conferences and/or symposia in their areas of specializations;
• To develop and review curricula for courses of their specializations;
• To supervise dissertations/research papers
• To work in co-operation with senior members on specific projects such as research and consultancy;
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department or other competent authority

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Masters/PhD degree in a specialized functional area. In addition, the candidate must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in his/her first degree.
